I recently received a great little package in the mail from Hask, containing some amaaaaaaazing hair care samples.
I am completely new to this brand, but let me tell you...after trying out their product, I am a fan. The timing of this was really perfect, since I've been attempting to get my hair back into shape for the past few months. My hair has made a good amount of progress so far, but Hask definitely gave it a much needed boost!
Contents included:
Argan Oil Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner (full size bottles)
Argan Repairing Deep Conditioner (1 packet)
Argan Repairing Shine Oil (1 vial)
Keratin Protein Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner (full size bottles) pictured
Keratin Smoothing Deep Conditioner (1 packet) pictured
Keratin Smoothing Shine Oil (1 vial) pictured
Shower Caddy
2 Twist Bands (hair bands)
Hask definitely knows how to make a girl happy. So much stuff, and loved the extras!!! In all seriousness though, I personally think that this company's products are well worth checking out.
Here's why!
Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner: Truthfully some of the best keratin based products I've tried (and trust me...I've tried a lot). The shampoo is super thick and lathers extremely well. I always wash my hair twice because I have so much of it, but even after just the first shampoo, my hair feels significantly cleaner. The smell is really nice too! Not too strong, and reminds me of how my hair smells after I get it washed at the salon (in case you were wondering, that's a good thing).
Argan Shampoo and Conditioner: I got similar results with this sample set, but I preferred the keratin sets' smell. Not bad, but a little too citrus-y for my taste.
Deep Conditioners: Yes. I was skeptical when I first applied it, but after getting it worked thoroughly into my hair and leaving it on for the ten minutes as advised, it did wonders! I was so surprised at how soft and manageable my hair was after drying it. Normally, my hair feels a bit coarse due to the thickness and damaged state it's in...but wow! My hair didn't feel like my hair for once (also a good thing).
Shine Oil: I tend to avoid using oils on my hair, fearing that it will just way it down and give it a dirty appearance. But giving the benefit of the doubt, I added a small amount to my hair after blow drying just to tame some of the flyaways. A little goes a long way for sure (only used half of what the vial instructed), but it did help smooth my hair a bit, gave it some shine, and smelled wonderful.
Overall, I preferred the keratin set to the argan one. The smell was better, and I noticed more of a difference in the texture/health of my hair after using it. But depending on what you're hoping to achieve and the condition of your hair, I think both are useful and produce positive results.
I've never actually seen Hask products in any of my local stores, but according to their website http://www.haskbeauty.com, they can be purchased at places like Walmart, CVS and Walgreens :). If you're able to find them, give 'em a try!!
Hey, I've tried Hask products as well & absolutely love! This brand doesn't quite get the recognition it deserves! Lovely review (:

It all started with me sewing at an early age, making doll clothing and the basic pillow-type things like most beginners. Soon enough, my hobby exploded into intricate Halloween costume projects, handmade clothing articles and accessories that I added to my day to day ensemble. At age 18, I decided to pursue fashion as a career, and went to college to obtain a degree in fashion/theatrical costume design.
I was lucky enough to start working in the fashion and costuming industry straight out of school…and here I am today, perpetually striving towards making my dreams a reality.
