Foxes and Mug Brownies

The weather in Houston has continued to be spastic...and has been below freezing the last few days. It's taking a toll on my skin lately, so I've been keeping the body butter and EOS close. Not that I'm really complaining. Bring on the sweater weather!

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned this amazing fox sweater that was gifted to me by my older sister on Christmas. I wasn't able to wear it until recently, due to the large and cumbersome cast that was surrounding my right arm. But as soon as the cast was removed, you better believe I was rocking that adorable thing.

Fox Sweater

  • Pura Moda Fox Sweater (UK)
  • Gap Skinny Jeans
  • Betsey Johnson Crossbody Bag
  • Asos Oversized Pom Pom Beanie
  • Deena and Ozzy Fold Over Boot (Urban Outfitters)
  • Body Shop Coconut Shimmer Body Butter
  • EOS Lip Balm (Strawberry)

Another gift I've been eager to use this season is a printed fox mug given to me by my mother.

My love for foxes is pretty obvious to my family at this point...

I found a simple brownie in a mug recipe over at No. 2 Pencil, and thought it would be the perfect time to test it out.

I was craving sweet and salty, so I added some caramels to the center of my brownie batter ;)

This is not my first time making a microwave cake, but it was definitely one of the best! Super moist, chocolaty, and perfect for a chilly night sugar quick fix (only takes 45 second to cook...amazing). I enjoyed mine while wrapped in a blanket on my couch, watching Netflix. Because I believe that's what the mug cake was invented for.

Not very pretty, but boy does it taste yummy!

I will probably be eating my weight in these by the time March rolls around...but I'm okay with that.

Meet The Author

Designer, seamstress, crafter, vegetarian, thrifter, model, and now…blogger.

It all started with me sewing at an early age, making doll clothing and the basic pillow-type things like most beginners. Soon enough, my hobby exploded into intricate Halloween costume projects, handmade clothing articles and accessories that I added to my day to day ensemble. At age 18, I decided to pursue fashion as a career, and went to college to obtain a degree in fashion/theatrical costume design.

I was lucky enough to start working in the fashion and costuming industry straight out of school…and here I am today, perpetually striving towards making my dreams a reality.
