Studio Gear CC Cream

Before trying this product, I'd never used a cc cream before. Not that I had anything against it, but it just never crossed my mind...

I was skeptical at first and had no idea what to expect from using it, but figured I had nothing to lose. Then I received a sample of Studio Gear's Hydrating CC Cream in the mail. I applied a small amount to my hand to test it, and was shocked when it started to change colors (adjusting to my skin tone). Yes I may sound like an idiot, but again, keep in mind I had no clue what to expect.

Thanks to Studio Gear, I am now a believer in the magic that is cc cream, and here are a few reasons why:

Hydrating: After applying, you can instantly feel the difference.

Lightweight: Does not feel heavy or clog your pores. I occasionally wear it in place of foundation if I'm trying to give my face a break from full makeup.

Matches skin tone surprisingly well: I was given three shades to choose from - Linen, Natural, and Wheat. I chose the lightest option possible, since my skin tone at the time was very pale. It matched very well when I first used it, and still matches now, even though I've spent considerably more time in the sun recently.

If you're looking to try out cc cream for the first time, take a look at Studio Gear's website and order you some! They're even offering a 10% discount to my readers! Just enter the code brandbackercc during checkout :)

For anyone who's a frequent user, what's your favorite brand of cc cream and why??

Meet The Author

Designer, seamstress, crafter, vegetarian, thrifter, model, and now…blogger.

It all started with me sewing at an early age, making doll clothing and the basic pillow-type things like most beginners. Soon enough, my hobby exploded into intricate Halloween costume projects, handmade clothing articles and accessories that I added to my day to day ensemble. At age 18, I decided to pursue fashion as a career, and went to college to obtain a degree in fashion/theatrical costume design.

I was lucky enough to start working in the fashion and costuming industry straight out of school…and here I am today, perpetually striving towards making my dreams a reality.
